Welcome to Dinckley Court Self Catering

Comprising a spacious main house and attached wing with its own separate entrance, this comfortable furnished home makes a perfect retreat for large parties or several families holidaying together. The main reception room has wooden floors and a wood-burning stove as well as Sky TV - perfect for relaxing get-togethers. There is also a study area on a galleried floor.

All bedrooms have TV, with the majority boasting ensuite facilities, and the conservatory dining area offers enough space for all guests to dine together, with views over the large garden which leads directly on to the River Thames. Seating is provided with a barbecue to enable guests to take advantage of scenic relaxing views. There is mooring for a boat, or there is local boat hire which can then be moored privately here.

From July to August, a marquee is set up in the garden, close to the house with seating, tables, crockery and cutlery for 18.

Coarse fishing can also be enjoyed from this position as well as deer and bird spotting. Located in 8 acres of beautiful grounds on the banks of the River Thames, the property lies in one of the most picturesque areas of South Oxfordshire, within the small hamlet of Burcot-on-Thames, close to the historic town of Abingdon. The charming village of Dorchester-on-Thames is less than a mile away, with its own abbey, antique shops and pub/restaurants and there is a fine pub only 200 yards from the property also serving good food.

The gardens of Dinckley Court lead down to the river, and overlook farmland beyond, with the rising hills of Wittenham Clumps as a backdrop. Historic Oxford (7 miles to city centre) and Henley on Thames are all within a 20 minute drive, and Windsor with its royal castle, and the Georgian heritage city of Bath and the stunning scenery of the quintessentially English Cotswolds are slightly further afield. London can be accessed within an hour by road or train, and there are various places of interest to discover nearby including Blenheim Palace.
